I was recently at the 1964 World’s Fair site in Queens NY.
The New York Pavilion is still standing. It looks like a base for landing flying saucers, except that they are covered in rust.
There is a lot of neglected rust out there in America.
What if there were cheap robots that could scurry around our aging infrastructure on a search and destroy mission for rust?
That would be a lot more cost effective than the tens of thousands of Union workers that the job would otherwise take. Except for the detail that it would create even more Legacy Humans.
Also large scale painting or bridges and other infrastructure will be done mostly by Robots.
And automated Road Paving ? Why not ?
